New homeware designs made with leftover materials from the studio — these coasters are made using acrylic waste from when I make my laser-cut vases like this Ginny vase, shredded down and then I set them in resin. They will be part of a new body of work - the ‘Recast Collection’.
It’s part of an ongoing attempt to reuse what’s already here — giving offcuts a second life instead of sending them to landfill. Resin’s not without its issues, so this isn’t a perfect solution, but it feels like a small step in a better direction.
